Why Chapman does DuraMAX?
After seeing several motors melted down due to lack of
knowledge. Guys go buy parts online and use a HyperX Programmer
with no instruction or guidance on what else is needed!
Why Warranty issue's?
We take the Idiot proofing out of the truck by changing
the programming. We add an Exhaust Gas temperature(EGT) gauge that
needs monitoring while pulling the loads on steep grades. Warranty
could be voided if EGT's were maxed out.
What we do:
We take the best aftermarket product's and install them on the truck
to help prevent failure's. We add 4in Turbo back exhaust to get
the heat out and a EGT (exhaust gas temp) gauge to accompany the
ASM Custom Programming. The programming allows you to run 498hp
944lbs of torque while not towing a load. If you tow a load we program
your tow haul mode to 415hp and 784lbs of torque.
What you have to do if you tow:
Depress the tow haul mode on your shift handle and Read the EGT
Gauge!! Your EGT probe is located at the manifold. If your EGT's
reach anymore than 1350 degrees you must back out of the throttle
to prevent motor damage. The EGT's will attempt to max out while
under a hard load such as up hill pulls. My personal truck is a
CST Duramax I tow over loaded combined weight of 21,987lbs with
no issues!

Warranty: Chapman will warranty any aftermarket parts installed
for 3yr or 36k miles. However keep in mind some of your GM warranty
